今日は、サンフランシスコで友だちになった女性と植物園をまわってきました！
I walked around in the botanical garden with a friend in San Francisco!
San Francisco Botanical Garden は、世界中の植物が各地域ごとにまとめられています。
There are many plants in San Francisco Botanical Garden and they are categorized by their regions.
例えばこれは日本の「アネモネ」ですね。みんな知ってますね。はい。僕はよく知りません。
For example, this is Japanese Anemone. I'm sure everyone knows. Yeah. I don't know it.
アジカンの曲で「アネモネの咲く春に」なんて曲がありますね。はい。
There is a song "In The Spring When Anemone Bloom" by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. Yeah.
"Chinese Turip"の木。葉っぱの形が特殊です。
"Chinese Turip" tree. The leaf has a special shape.
天皇皇后両陛下の訪問記念碑がありました。マジかよ。
There was a monument of Japanese Emperor and Empress's visit.
リスですね。可愛いです。
It's a squirrel. Cute.

何かが思いっきり垂れ下がってます。
Something is hanging down.
霧から水分を吸収するために湿りやすい構造をしている葉。日本の植物にはない性質ですね。
This leaf has a special structure in order to absorb water from the fog. Japanese plants don't have this feature.
シダ植物の裏側の胞子嚢。キモいですね。

特定の2方向にしか枝が出ていない木。
This tree has branches in only two directions.
スズメバチが花の根本を噛んで開けた穴。この穴を使ってミツバチが花の奥にある蜜を吸うらしい。実際にその様子も見た。面白いですね。
A hole pierced by a yellow jacket. Bees suck nectar through this hole. I saw the scene. Interesting.
この話はその場にたまたまいたおじさんに説明してもらいました。ミツバチがスズメバチを追い払う方法の話とか。面白かったです。
A man who was near told us this story. He also told us how bees expel a yellow jacket. Interesting.
日本式の"Moon Viewing Garden"。紅葉と池と岩がそれっぽいですね。この季節に紅葉がまだ緑色なのはサンフランシスコの気候のせいですね。
Japanese "Moon Viewing Garden". Japanese maple leaves, pond and rocks look like it. The leaves are still green because of the climate in San Francisco.
と、まあそんな感じでいろいろまわって、最後はスパゲッティ食べて帰りましたとさ。
In the end, we ate spaghetti and got back home.
ずっと英語喋ってたけど、僕の英語はマシになっているのかしら。
